Berbak National Park Tourism Development Plan

Berbak National Park covering an area of 162,700 hectares, is the only profound and important swamp forest in Sumatra that are included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance.

The plan is to align the relationship between protection and preservation of biodiversity region with sustainable use through the development of tourism. Zoning space for all three interests are embodied in a series of planning processes, by applying the concept of eco-tourism.
